Most families ask about price and level coverage. Both are easy to answer and neither predicts whether the course will help, because almost every provider covers the syllabus and prices cluster within a narrow band.
The questions that separate one arrangement from another are about what happens after the videos — whether there is practice, whether it is marked, and whether anyone finds out when a student stops.
The questions worth asking
- Who records the lessons? A named teacher who has taught the syllabus is a different proposition from anonymous content. Ours are recorded personally by our founder, Mr. Justin Tan.
- Is practice included, or only explanation? Explanation alone does not change marks. Every topic in our courses has topical practice and a topical test.
- Are answers worked through or just printed? A final answer tells a student they were wrong; a worked answer tells them where.
- Are past-year papers included? Topical work and whole papers test different things and both are needed.
- How long does access last? Several access lengths are published per level.
- What can I see as a parent? Progress tracking answers whether the course is being used.

The question most parents forget
None of the above tells you the thing that matters most, which is whether your particular child will open it. A course that fits the syllabus perfectly and stays closed is worth nothing.
This is not answerable in advance by any provider, which is the honest reason a trial period exists. A week is usually enough to see whether a child opens it unprompted — and that single observation is worth more than any feature list.
What a good answer sounds like
- Specific rather than aspirational — “topical tests for every topic” rather than “rigorous assessment”
- Checkable — published on a page you can read, not described on a call
